Besign Foundry today releases the brand new open-source font Orbix. This font is inspired by the sci-fi epic movie 'Dune', exploring the integration of minimalist beauty and the sense of eternity between the vast universe and the order of text.

Orbix is a stylistic open-source font tailor-made for the AdventureX project. The glyphs are constructed with rounded curves, forming a visual backbone that is simple yet full of tension. The core design inspiration comes from the title font of the movie 'Dune', where we created a highly recognizable ring structure. It points to the openness of graphic semantics and echoes the ancient Egyptian hieroglyph symbol that represents 'eternity'.

The font name Orbix is derived from the Latin word Orbis, meaning ring, world, and also symbolizes a cosmic journey centered around graphic language.

The first released version Orbix Regular is officially available from today on GitHub, following the SIL Open Font License 1.1 (OFL 1.1) license agreement, allowing global developers and designers to freely download, use, and recreate.

Besign Foundry is committed to providing high-quality, forward-thinking fonts and typographic designs to the global design community, continuously injecting fresh creative vitality into design.
